Wood-plastic panels are composed of about 60% wood fibers, 30% plastics and 10% additives. Each component has its own characteristics. For example: plastic will expand and contract with heat, wood fibers will expand in a humid environment, and discoloration will occur under UV irradiation.
Under the influence of different weather conditions and the surrounding environment, it is very common for wood-plastic panels to appear stains after some time of use.
Due to different conditions such as temperature and humidity in the region, mildew stains will appear in different degrees.
Before doing any cleaning, it is best to test it out of sight.
We recommend using warm water and a vinegar-based detergent to clean wood-plastic products.
Do not use metal cleaning tools, such as wire brushes.
During the cleaning process, especially when cleaning with a brush, be sure to pay attention to brushing in the direction of the texture of the board.
Please do not use a shovel or shovel to clear snow and ice from the board, otherwise it may damage the board. For some relatively stubborn stains, a soft brush can be used for cleaning.
Slight scratches can be gently sanded with sponge sand, but please be sure to sand longitudinally or along the grain of the plate when sanding.
Any residue such as sanding dust, vegetables, or other organic matter can be quickly rinsed off with water. If water spots remain after rinsing, use a vinegar-based household cleaner, warm water and a cork brush to remove water spots. After brushing, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
Professionals can use a pressure washer, but the water pressure must not exceed 1500 psi or it could cause damage to your floors. In addition, the distance between the faucet and the floor should not be less than 30cm, otherwise, the excessive water pressure may cause damage to the floor.
When using a high-pressure water gun, please adjust the faucet and use a gentle flow of water for cleaning.
Please clean the debris between the floor gaps regularly, otherwise, if the water is not cleaned for a long time, it may cause mildew.
For some stains, such as: oil stains, food residues, sauces and beverage stains, etc. need to be cleaned in time.
Wood-plastic products that have been in a humid environment or used outdoors for a long time may inevitably produce some dark spots or mildew stains. For these types of stains, use a chlorine-containing household cleaner, use a brush with the recommended amount of cleaning solution, and then rinse with plenty of water.
All wood-containing products will naturally have tannin leaching. Under normal weather conditions, tannins will disappear over the course of a few weeks or months. This process can be accelerated by using phosphoric or oxalic acids containing moderate doses.
Take extra care when walking barefoot on the floor. It is recommended to wear footwear when cleaning and maintaining floors.
